When I go to visit my Mum in England it’s a long haul, nearly 24 hours of travel (wait times plus Trains, Planes and Automobiles), and then there’s the time difference to get used too . . . After staying awake for something like 36 hours . . . I sleep like a (as my Mum would say) ‘dead rat’!
The next day my Mum would make a big breakfast, in the UK they call it a ‘Full English’, bacon eggs, baked beans, fried tomato, toast and a beautiful cup of English Breakfast Black Tea.
This tea is named in honour of those moments, and also because this beautiful full bodied Rwandan black tea would be a perfect compliment to a big breakfast like a Full English.
Mum’s ‘Full English’ Black Tea
Organic Ingredients: Rwandan black tea leaves.
Directions: 1 heaped tsp, use boiled water and steep for 3-5 mins. Enjoy plain or add sweetener of your choice, brown sugar or cane sugar. Mum doesn’t do milk or sugar in her tea, but I do. It’s your choice.
