This sweet hearth broom speaks to the coming spring, with its tulip purple broomcorn, teal three legged Brigid’s Cross and its teal cord. Tied onto an Ontario grown black oak handle, which was hand hewn by local Mennonites, and finished/polished by me.
This broom is approximately 60cm long, and weighs 365g
Imbolc is the Quickening time, promise of spring and growth, and time for renewal, planting seeds and cleaning away the bitterness of Winter. These brooms are for cleansing your homes and sacred spaces and have been adorned with a broomcorn woven Brigid’s Cross to honour the Goddess of the Hearth, the Forge and Creation. Use these brooms to honour the Midwinter fire festival, the midway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. Or anytime you would like to clean snd clear a space!
