Vinyard Cobweb Broom Workshop – Lincoln Museum

Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre

March 28 @ 1:00 pm 5:00 pm

Discover the beauty of craftsmanship rooted in Niagara’s wine history. In this hands-on workshop, broom squire Amy Lou Taylor will guide participants in creating a traditional cobweb broom using materials sourced from old vine plantings.

In viticulture, “old vines” refer to mature grapevines—often several decades old—that are prized for their depth, resilience and character. As part of our ongoing exploration of Niagara’s rich wine heritage, this workshop gives new life to vineyard cuttings, transforming them into functional art.

Participants will learn traditional broom-making techniques and leave with a one-of-a-kind broom shaped by the legacy of the vine.

No experience necessary.
All supplies are included for you to craft your broom including a piece of historic grapevine from Vineland Estates for your handle.

$105
